Volleyball - Offense
Adalyn Callahan, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(Fr, OPP - Hernando, Miss., 6)
Callahan, just one week after stepping into a starting role, led Northwest on a six-match winning streak during which the squad only dropped one set. The 5'4" Opp played much bigger than her opponents, hitting a .284 percentage at the net.
Volleyball - Defense
Jania Rose, Northwest Mississippi Community College
(Fr, DS - Walls, Miss., 8)
Rose, primarily in the libero role, received 43 serves during the seven-match stretch with only one error, for a .977 reception percentage. She had 49 digs, averaging 2.33/set, or 7/match. The versatile DS also contributed on the offensive end, adding three kills in three chances and 8 assists, scoring 23 pts on the week.
Women's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Kaylee Tardo, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(Fr, GK - Madison, 1)
Kaylee Tardo, a freshman from Madison, had one save in a 4-0 win over No. 20 Pensacola State to combine on a shutout.
Women's Soccer - Offense
Holly Jones, Pearl River Community College
(So, F - Liverpool, England., 13)
Holly Jones (Liverpool, England) scored two goals and assisted on two more in Pearl River's lone game of the week against East Central. All three of her shots were on target in the contest.
Men's Soccer - Goalkeeper
Omarion Brown, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(Fr, GK - Linstead, Jamaica, 1)
Omarion Brown, a freshman from Linstead, Jamaica, stopped all 7 shots he faced to post a 2-0 shutout of No. 8 Pearl River.
Men's Soccer - Offense
Villads Juma, Itawamba Community College
(FR, ST/W - Helsingør, Denmark, 14)
Freshman Villads Juma (Helsingør, Denmark) had 5 goals and 3 assists to help the Indians go 2-0 on the week, including a hat trick in the Indians' road win over Oxford College.
Football - Offense
Landon Varnes, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(So, QB - Brandon, 2O)
Landon Varnes, a sophomore quarterback from Brandon, threw for 426 yards and two touchdowns for No. 10 Gulf Coast, which beat East Mississippi 41-21. He completed 28-of-41 passes and also rushed for a touchdown.
Football - Defense
Jackson Parker, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Sophomore, LB - Florence, Miss., 12)
Jackson Parker made an impact on both defense and special teams for the Tigers in a road win over defending South Division champion East Central. In his debut for Northeast, Parker had the second most tackles on his team with eight. Perhaps more importantly, Parker blocked a pair of punts that the Tigers turned into 10 of their points.
Football - Special Teams
Tre'Marcus Webb, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Sophomore, DB - Montgomery, Ala., 1D)
Tre'Marcus Webb averaged 27.3 yards on three returns, but his biggest sealed Northeast's road victory at East Central. He returned a punt 64 yards for his first career touchdown early in the fourth quarter that accounted for the Tigers' final points in a 24-13 win over the defending South Division champions.
