MACCC Players of the Week - November 25
Women's Basketball
Kamaiyah Pruitt, Copiah-Lincoln Community College
(So., F - Pass Christian, Mississippi, 23)
Kam Pruitt had a strong week where she averaged a double-double as the Lady Wolves went 3-0. The sophomore forward from Pass Christian started her week with a career game against LSU-Eunice where she posted a double-double with 24 points and 17 rebounds, both career highs. She then followed that with a double-double against Southern-Shreveport of 18 points and 12 rebounds and finished her week by narrowly missing a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds against South Arkansas. For the week, Pruitt averaged 18 points per game and 12.7 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the field and nearly 80% from the free throw line.
Men's Basketball
Duran Parish, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(So, G - Biloxi, 2)
Duran Parish, a sophomore guard from Biloxi, averaged 25.0 points, 6.3 assists and 2.7 steals in three Gulf Coast wins. His big game was a 35-point outburst in an 85-82 win over Bishop State. In a 109-102 win at Coastal Alabama-South, he had 18 points, five rebounds, six assists and five steals.
