Women's Basketball
Alorian Story, Northwest Mississippi Community College

In the first game back from the Thanksgiving break, the Rangers leaned on Story, particularly in the first half of play as she scored the first 12 points of the game for Northwest and 14 of the 19 first half points for the team to keep them in the game against a hot shooting Dyersburg team that was 6-1 entering the game. Story also played a key roll in the second half, picking up 14 rebounds, most of which came in the second half and recording a block late in the game when the Eagles were trying to rally back.
Men's Basketball
Jordan Alexander, East Mississippi Community College
(Fr., G - Buffalo, NY, 24)
EMCC freshman guard Jordan Alexander averaged 27.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in helping lead the Lions to a 2-1 record during the Bank of Grandin Thanksgiving Classic played in Poplar Bluff, Mo. After opening the three-day tournament with 22 points (8-17 FGs & 5-6 FTs) and 5 rebounds against host Three Rivers College, he came back the following day with 27 points (7-11 FGs, 4-7 treys & 9-10 FTs) and 7 boards in EMCC's 84-62 win over Wabash Valley. The Buffalo, New York native then capped his successful holiday tourney performance by matching his season high with 33 points (23 in 2nd half) on 10-18 FGs, 7-15 treys and 6-6 FTs, while adding 5 rebounds, in the Lions' 95-85 victory over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
