Katelyn Brinkley, a sophomore center from Ridgeland, filled up her stat line in a 2-0 week for Gulf Coast, averaging a double-double with 17.0 points and 11.5 rebounds. She had 14 points and nine rebounds in a 60-54 win at Meridian, followed by a 20-point, 14-rebound double-double in a 63-49 win over Jones. Brinkley also had four assists, six steals and four blocks during the week.

Pearl River's Christian Gilliland (Memphis, Tenn.; ABC Prep) averaged 25 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2 assists across a pair of victories over East Central and Mississippi Delta.
