Women's Basketball
Terica Smith, Meridian Community College

Sophomore Terica Smith led the Lady Eagles to a 2-0 week with another dominating performance down low. The West Point native averaged a double-double for the week with 22.5 ppg and 13 reb/g in two conference wins. Smith started the week with a double-double against MS Delta with 21 points and 10 rebounds and followed it up with another double-double on the road against East Mississippi with 24 points and 16 rebounds. She also finished with 4 steals on the week.

Men's Basketball
Diovion Famakinde, East Mississippi Community College

EMCC's Diovion Famakinde averaged 25.5 points, while shooting 58% (14-24 FGs) from the field, 40% (4-10 treys) from beyond the three-point arc and 86% (19-22 FTs) from the charity stripe, during the Lions' 1-1 week. Famakinde opened the week scoring a team-high 24 points (8-13 FGs, 3-7 treys & 5-5 FTs) at Pearl River. The Brooklyn native then closed out the week by pumping in a career-high 27 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and clutch 14-of-17 accuracy from the line in helping lead EMCC to a 75-70 home win over Meridian. He also collected 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a blocked shot during the Lions' winning effort over the Eagles.
