Larissa Hubbard, Jones College

Larissa Hubbard, a 5-foot-11 sophomore forward from Harrison Central HS, had back-to-back doubles for Jones College last week. She had 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 54-53 loss to Itawamba. She had 16 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots in a 66-45 win over Coahoma.

Duran Parish, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College

Duran Parish, a sophomore point guard from Biloxi, controlled the game in two wins for Gulf Coast, averaging 28.0 points, 8.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals. He had 29 points while shooting 5-for-7 from the arc in an 85-68 win over Mississippi Delta, narrowly missing a double-double with nine assists. In a 97-69 win at East Mississippi, Parish had 27 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and five steals. He averaged 60 percent on 3-point attempts for the week.

Madison Sawyer, Jones College

Madison Sawyer, a freshman from Saraland., Ala., went 2-0 for # 3 Jones College during the opening week of the season. She pitched 11 innings, struck out 17, walked three, allowed one earned run and had a 0.64 ERA. In a 5-1 win over #3 St. Johns River State College (Fla.), she went 7.0 innings, allowed one run, one hit, walked two and struck out 11. She allowed one hit in 4.0 innings and struck out six in a 10-0, 5 inning win over Bishop St.

Natalee Eaves, Pearl River Community College
(So, OF - Louisville, Miss., 10)
Natalee Eaves (Louisville; Choctaw Central) had an elite week to lead PRCC to a 4-0 finish at the Visit Panama City Beach JUCO Showdown. Across the four games, Eaves hit. 714 with a .733 on-base percentage and a 1.214 slugging percentage. She collected two homers, one double, nine RBIs and scored seven runs.

James Vines, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
(So, RHP - Clinton, La., 16)
James Vines, a sophomore right-hander from Clinton, La., pitched four no-hit, shutout innings to beat Clark State 11-1. He struck out seven.
Baseball Position
Colin Flurry, Northeast Mississippi Community College
(Freshman, C - Booneville, MS, 33)
Flurry dominated at the plate over the past weekend for the Tigers with a batting average of .636 while connecting on 3 doubles, a triple, and 3 home runs to help drive in 12 scores while coming around the bases for 6 runs of his own. He helped Northeast to a 3-1 series against East Central (MO) with a highlight real performance coming in game one with the freshman catcher going a perfect 3/3 at the plate including a pair of home run bombs that drove in 8 runs with his first being a grand slam in the bottom of the 3rd inning.
